Bonnet Springs Park Video Contest Rules

By |2022-01-24T11:24:47-05:00January 24th, 2022|News|

Picture a place, close to downtown Lakeland, yet a place where mother nature’s healing powers are revealed through magnificent giant oak trees and a clear gurgling stream that rises out of the earth and flows to Lake Bonnet below. This very special regional park will provide social and economic benefits, help provide that blended urban/natural park, and make the quality of life for future generations of Lakeland better.

To help spread the word of the soon-to-open park, Polk County’s Instructional Television department is teaming up with Bonnet Springs to offer TV Production teachers and students the opportunity to win up to $500 through a video contest!

Visit the Bonnet Springs Park Video Contest Rules page for more information.

Final Entry Deadline

By |2019-03-08T12:22:30-05:00March 7th, 2019|News|

This is a friendly reminder that the final deadline to submit entries into this year’s Video Awards is today. The following categories are due:

  • Category 3 – Music Video
  • Category 4 – Male Announcer
  • Category 5 – Female Announcer
  • Category 6 – Announcing Team
  • Category 7 – Technical Mastery
  • Category 8 – Documentary
  • Category 10 – Short Film

All entries must be uploaded to the ITV submission server no later than 4:00 PM today. Please note that when submitting you will not see your previous entries (News Shows, Commercial, Instructional Academic Video) in your submission drive as we already have these and they are currently in the judging process. For directions on how to prepare, export, and submit your entries, see our How to Submit page.

Before submitting, make sure to read the Contest Rules section for each category. Failure to adhere to the Contest Rules could result in disqualification for that entry.

Please double-check that you are naming your entries correctly. The naming convention should be “Category Number – School Name – Entry Title or Student Names”. For example, “02 – Lake Gibson Middle – Our Cool School” or “04 – Winter Haven Senior – John Smith”.

After uploading your entries, you will need to fill out the Video Awards Submission Form. Failure to do so may result in disqualification of entries. This form can only be submitted once, so please double-check the information for accuracy. We use the form’s contents and spellings for the programs, on-screen graphics, and trophies/plaques. If there is a discrepancy between the form’s spelling and information contained in the entry, we will default to the form as being accurate. If you believe that you made a mistake or typo in your form after submission, please let us know ASAP so that we can make the correction.

Lastly, the ITV department is involved in an all-day Network Manager meeting today and may not be available via phone. You may find email to be the quickest way to contact us.

Good luck to everyone!
